Lower abdomen, back, hip, pelvic pain

I have a lot of constant pain in my vulva, an kind of blood like spotting from my clitoris.
I finally decided to see the gynecological specialists at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
Their diagnoses was that I have an about 4 cm long labial fusing that creates a flap over part of the urethra exit, and a pocket in which some urine collects. This collected urine constantly irritates the mucous membrane of the clitoris, which in turn causes the blood like oozing.
The solution is to surgically separate the two labia sections, which would remove the pocket and expose the normal vulva vestibule again.

A similar flap has devolved over the entrance to my vagina, and makes any sexual activities very painful.
I hope that the surgery will help me to be pain free in my nether region again.

Did anybody here had a similar surgery? How long would the recovery time be?

Lindes, my wife has a condition known as lichen sclerosus. Manu of the structure down there seem to atrophy. But it comes with white patches that get stiff, then , tear, then bleed. There’s a wealth of info on the internet about it and the surgery your questioning. I can’t remember the site right now but willl look for it for u. My wife uses Clobetasol for flare ups and religiously apply a wild yam root salve.
