Victories

Posted by rivermaya34 @rivermaya34, Nov 3, 2021

We spend so much time focusing on how to manage our pain, why not shout out praises for small victories and encourage one another to persevere and reach goals? 🙂

@centre How are you doing today? Managing pain and other symptoms ok? How can we support you?

Thank-you for asking. I appreciate your kind words and positive messages. I've subscribed to the Resilient site. I've always been an optimistic person, hardest part for me isn't the pain level/disturbed sleep, but the physical activities I'm unable to safely do anymore due to poor balance/ankle weakness- playing with grandchildren on the lawn, gardening, hiking, canoeing. BUT I can ride a bike again and that feels great!

My Year of Healing message this morning was really good...

Day 151
Empty the space in your brain taken by self-doubt. Replace it with hope, inspiration, and courage.

Suggested practice: Think of a few ways you can be more hopeful, inspired, and courageous today.

Hi hear y’a, Ann! I’m new to this community. Like you I value positive stories, something that gives me hope and patterns to emulate.

Otherwise, I found it overwhelming and depressing. I may dip in once a week or twice a month.

Hang in there and move to the beat of your heart. You can only go right from there.

Sometimes I just have to focus on being in the moment. What am I grateful for in this moment? What can I see out the window or in front of me that is beautiful? Giving up the worries and doubt about the future takes courage and we all have times when there is less courage. In those moment I have to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and focusing on the moment until it returns.

You're welcome!! Aww that's great! I'm really intrigued my the site also, can't wait to look at it more. I definitely understand not being as active anymore, but I've also learned that sometimes that's where we'll find our greatest blessings because we finally can slow down enough to enjoy the scenery around us instead of just whizzing right thru! lol

Hello all, I like hearing the positive! Thanks! Too easy to get depressed with PN. I have PN in my feet and have been trying to find lifestyle changes that might slow or reverse the progression of PN. Such as diet or supplements. I bought some ortho shoes that are extremely comfortable but have not given me improvement. And When I read about something that looks promising I usually end up finding out more negative than positive. Simple things like Keeping my feet warm seems to help along with distraction. Nice not thinking about it!!

Sooooo......if any of you have been doing anything that seems to work for you, please share with us? Never hurts to be open minded.
Thanks and keep the faith!
