Did you figure this out? This happened to me about 2 weeks ago and lasted around 5 days. It went away and now it started again. It's constantly there but sporadic in rhythm.

I have rapid thumping in my left ear which in turn makes the left side of my face twitch. 3 neurologist says its nothing and just want to do botox.. There has to be another answer

I have pulsatile tinnitus. I went to the ENT, also had a hearing test and MRI all were normal. I have had this in my left ear about a year now, I think. Especially at night going to bed. If there is noise I do not notice it. Yes does drive me crazy sometimes but at night. I guess it is here to stay. Mine is a swishing sound.Good luck to all and see an ENT it does not hurt!!
I've had ringing in left ear for years. Over time I had gotten to the point where the ringing doesnt even bother me. But recently the same ear developed a fast and steady thumping. The thumping never stops and is way too fast to be my heartbeat. When I plug my ear and eliminate outside noise my ringing has always gotten louder. But when I plug my ear now the thumping quiets down. The doctor at the walk in clinic dxd me with Eusthachian Tube Dysfunction. He prescribed a decongestant and said in a few days the my tube should clear up and the thumping should go away. It's been a few days and there are no changes. I think he was wrong. Does anyone here have similiar thumping thats fast and steady?

Have you discussed your symptoms with your doctor?
I just started having this problem a couple weeks ago.
It woke me up this morning with my second “attack”.
Don’t know if this is a “cure” but I spilt some liquid on the floor, bent over to clean the mess and when I stood up the “thumping” was gone.

Hi @dlimes, have you been to see a doctor about this? An ENT specialist?

I have fast thumping in my ears especially when I stand or walk! It seems to go away when I sit!! What causes this?
