@hopefu33250, @parus, @jenniferhumt, @tinyknit, and all...Thank you for this youtube, Teresa. I'm listening to another with piano and instrumental Christmas music as I write. What pure joy in my heart and soul, I played piano from age 7 through college and beyond, for myself and my emotional stability I think, and in church or whenever. Never like this, but it is pure joy for me to sit and play. I still have my childhood piano, but nasty arthritis has taken away my ability to make music at the keys. I can sit for a few minutes and dabble, but then my entire body begins to rebel and the hands and wrists and back start to scream at me. So, I listen to real artists play for me!

Short story: I'm 75 in Feb. When I was 40, I became quite ill and was in a whole lot of body pain, had trouble walking due to swollen and painful legs and feet, covered with sores and bumps, had difficulty breathing, didn't know what was happening. Mayo Clinic was built in Jacksonville, Fl that year. I went to Mayo to a wonderful rheumatologist, I saw a dermatologist the same day and had bloodwork and thus began my Mayo journey. I was diagnosed with a lung biopsy with Sarcoidosis. That was a fairly unknown autoimmune disease at the time.

I spent the next 8 months on very heavy steroid therapy and all that goes with it. The Sarcoid went into remission and has raised its head through the years, but we get it under control with more steroids and I move ahead. Now, I'm back at Mayo for a bunch of stuff and getting all kinds of healing. A whole lot from this wonderful group on connect.

Music and God healed me, using the Mayo system and this doctor.

I was in a lot of pain that didn't respond to meds at that time. I couldn't sleep at night due to pain. I began playing Sandi Patti tapes all night. All night. She sang me to sleep every night. I slept in peace and free of disturbing pain. God used Sandi Patti to touch me, to heal my spirit and body. She has such a remarkable voice and talent. Her voice singing hymns and spiritual music put me in a place of healing and peace. I will always think of her as my guardian light. I tried to reach out to her to let her know her impact on my life, but haven't found a way to contact her. I will keep trying...
