It’s very eary to call your doctor. Your likely not at a dose that is thereputic for you yet. Why not give it a fighting chance to help you before calling the doctor. 3,600 mg is the recommended maximum dose, not the absolute maximum dose. Some people take more than the 3,600 mg., Gabapentins dose is somewhat side effect driven.
Hopefully it will start to help you but if it doesn’t don’t hesitate to ask for a dosage increase. I knew someone who took 7,000 mg a day without any problems.

Thank you for your reply. I was taking 3,900 with no relief. I must be a sissy I went to the doctors Saturday morning and was prescribed carbamazepine 200mg. One tablet and I was able to eat and drink with very little pain. However I haven’t been able to get a hold of my primary doctor to find out if there are any side effects with otc vitamins.
