i had the heavy nights sweats for 5 weeks after the first Shingrix shot. They tappered very gradually and were miserable at first. Also had digestive problems including nausea and loss of appetite. I do not plan to take the second as I don't want to go through the night sweats again. Mentioned the sweats to my doctor and he confided that he too had night sweats. This should be a "listed" side effect.
I had no idea the shingles shot would cause all of these symptoms! I had been told by two Drs I should get these and finally decided to get mine yesterday while at the grocery store since I have PBC. So far only pain at injection site some neck pain. I have leaves to rake today and hopefully will help with sore arm. Prayers for you all to feel better and have a nice Thanksgiving.
Hi @sancho, vaccinations are hit and miss as far as side effects go in people. Some folks are lucky and have nothing, others can feel pretty miserable with aches, flu-like symptoms, fever, headache, upset stomach, etc.. In the last year I’ve received more than 30 vaccinations, as well as flu and covid shots after my bone marrow transplant. Most of the time it was just very sore arms. This year’s flu shot had me needing Tylenol to reduce fever and chills. I woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat.
I’m wondering if you had a fever and it broke? That can cause some perspiring. Did you take your temperature when you were feeling so awful?
