IDC grade 1 ER+, HER 2- with lumpectomy and proton radiation. I was on Tamoxifen for 18 months with minimal issues. I started to develop some retinal deposits and , after testing determined I was post menopausal, I was switched to letrozole. I developed side effects from the letrozole and was taken off of it. I ended up extending my two week period of coming off the letrozole to six weeks in order to talk directly with my provider about options going forward. I was switched to Exemestane but blood work done right before put my estradiol level at 86 rather than >10 as the previous 4 had been. Rather than switch back to Tamoxifen, my provider advised staying on Exemestane and adding a Lupron injection monthly to suppress estrogen. I was just curious if anyone had ever been on this regime and how it went?
