In case you've not yet encountered it, I'll share a poem that I find to be both wise and rewarding.
It's entitled "Desiderata" and the author is Max Ehrmann. You can find the entire text at desiderata dot com, but I'm still too new in this forum to be allowed to post URLs.
The poem starts with:
"GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story."
