I'm rechecking my current health record, it says hyperlipidemia, but doesn't list my hdl and ldl results. I recently went to the dietitian at the local grocery store, took a tour and she pointed out the brands of food to purchase to reduce cholesterol. I loved that. She showed me some chicken apple bourbon sausage for example that is yummy. I was wondering if others had ideas to increase the fiber in our diets. cut the fat.

Google Dr.Jenkins from St.Michaels Hospital in Toronto. The Profile Diet. Lots of soy (soy milk, tofu, edamame), beans, legumes (make lentil or split bean or white bean soup, nuts, peanut butter (natural), eggplant, okra, oatmeal for breakfast. All of these foods help to lower cholesterol. Dr.Jenkins himself is a vegan.
