@msgtrebholtz, I hope that you will join us on the Culinary Arts Zoom meeting next week. It is fun to learn together and to discuss health issues that relate to transplant patients with transplant patients. With a diagnosis of PSC, you will benefit greatly by being informed now and by practicing good nutrition before you need a transplant. I transplanted with PSC in 2009, and one of the first things that my GI told me was to eat healthy and stay active. It was good advice!
There are many more articles in the Transplant Blog Newsfeed that are written by Mayo staff as well as guest members. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/transplant/
Feel free to wander thru the list of topics and read all or select those of interest to you. Of course, as is the case on Mayo Connect, you can leave a comment or ask a question anywhere anytime!
Does your past history with UC require special dietary requirements? Do you like to cook?
Thank you! I’m very sorry about all of your health issues. Being on Connect is an amazing community for support and sharing knowledge and experiences as patients.
Here’s the link to the discussion for our Transplant Recipients Culinary Arts webinar series- https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/transplant-culinary-arts-zoom-sessions/
Our next event will be on Thursday, November 4 at 4 pm west / 6 pm central / 7 pm east. It’s open to anyone on Connect, including transplant recipients, patients on the transplant waitlist, and caregivers.
You can sign up by replying to this post or contacting either myself @athenalee or Ellen at @estrada53.
I will not be able to watch the zoom mtg on nov 4. Will it be shown another time or on another platform?
