I ended having a MRI of my brain and it showed my brain is shrinking. Nothing can be done about it. I also have a problem with my balance, I use a cane because I will fall. I got Covid-19 from the hospital, I a TEE done at the cath lab and 3 days later I had COVID-19. So if you loose words it will get better. God Bless You All
Unfortunately I was also diagnosed with NPH (Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus) in mid 2021 having had Covid at the beginning of the year. Because of the NPH I had brain surgery to install a shunt. Many of the symptoms as a Long Hauler are similar and I can´t seem to recover from NPH inspite of the shunt. All of my symptoms are neurological, including INCREASING Mild Cognitive Impairment or MCI. So the brain continues affected very badly.
I wonder if anyone else has NPH PLUS Long Covid.
Severe sweating, headaches. Cough, taste and smell
I could only wish someone cared that much. But has never been an option for me.
Thank you for responding, I do have days that are worse than others in regard to fatigue. My sleep has greatly been effected, I may sleep 3-5 hours a night and not restful. Covid has kick started a new dx finding I am bipolar 2 with psychosis. There are days that my body feel almost normal, yet the word finding, speech and unstable thinking does not usually change. I have started a new Rx with the hope it will help my unstable mood/thinking.
