Severe stomach pain
I have had several years of pain in my stomach and not sure what to do. i have had ibs, acid reflux, gastritis, internal hemorrhoids. A few months ago I had a slighly irregular Z line, mildly erythematous found in the antrum and nodules were found in the ascendingn colon.
I have taken xypaxin for pain but it no longer helps. I throw up daily and have diarrhea, I have headaches. My stomach cramps so badly that I can go anywhere because of the pain. What should I do?

@mmoss Would you want a referral to Mayo JAX FL..?. I found that I received my first appointment easier by getting my Primary Care Physician ask for help... I rattled around my local clinic with 50+ doctors for 2 months with no diagnosis ... when I got to Mayo MN they diagnosed the problem in the morning I was there.. 3 tests.. and they gave me a way to cope in the afternoon.. Good Luck.. Ken
How long did you have to wait for an appointment with a referral from your Dr? Thank you
Hi Ken, what did you have that the Drs at Mayo saw the other Drs missed? I live 4 hrs from Jacksonville. Have had every test imaginable with no diagnoses. Thx for your help
@mmoss I received the first appointment within the month of the referral.. a couple weeks really.. I also knew someone who's husband had been on Mayo MN Staff.. I did not ask if she had helped.. I was on Medicare and a good United Health Care Gap insurance through my academic retirement.. The main test that determined my problem was eating a standardized breakfast meal with a radioactive tracer .. and then doing x-rays every hour after for 4 hours... It showed the slow rate of my digestive system.. so that set limits for me.. they also did esophagus tests.. My local clinic kept doing the same test over and over... which didn't work every time.. duh.. Mayo tests were different than any I had before.. the names have escaped me.. Does your clinic in South FL use the Epic Medical Records system..? If they do, that is the same records system used by Mayo ... and they could refer to your multitude of tests easily... then make a judgement based on those tests..
Yesterday I had severe stomach pain and broke out in a sweat, which lead to painful diarrhea and then nausea and throwing up. This happens a lot.
I had similiar symptoms when I started getting intestinal blockage
What do recommend I do next?
The dr had me do cat scan and swallow test.
Thanks!
