Covid and AFib Connection?

@kernell

I had a diagnosis of benign a fib . I took the first Covid shot Pfizer and nothing happened much . With the second dose I had both intestinal problems and indigestion and lung congestion and after five weeks an episode of a fib that was different.
I’m now on a blood thinner, and concerned about the booster .

Would you tell us what intestinal problems you experienced after the Pfizer vaccine? Thank you.

Kernell, you are not alone. Going through these A-fib posts as much as I can. Amazed to see how many others have post-jab A-fib.

And (drum roll, please...) like you, MAJOR intestinal problems. With up to nine episodes per day, I'm getting desperate to keep my weight up. Seems my strictly cutaneous mastocytosis (totally under control for decades with OTC antihistamines) has escalated to GI MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome).

As to a blood thinner, I'm taking 1/2 of an adult aspirin every evening.

I also had the Phizer vaccine second dose and had an AFib episode within 24 hours…..my episodes are usually about 3 months apart…..my pulse was high ….and not as irregular as other episodes so I felt it was different. These side effects are not tracked here in Nova Scotia Canada….so I am not sure how accurate data is regarding what is happening to people post vaccine…..
