Electrical shocks throughout my body.
Hello. I’m not sure if anyone knows what I am talking about but I am hoping that someone does because I am beginning to feel crazy. Every day, I have an electrical sensation feeling throughout my entire body. The only way I can describe it to people is that it feels like I am being shocked by a light switch throughout my entire body. It is very painful, however only lasts from around 5-20 minutes, 1-5 times a day. It’s starting to scare me because my doctor looked at me like I was crazy, and my nurses chuckled when they heard my symptoms. I am going to a neurologist but they cannot fit me in for another month. It’s very painful for me and it has started to come with a red, splotchy rash from my neck down to my legs. If anyone has any idea what this could be and what I can do to surprise the pain, I would really appreciate the advice. And also if anyone else deals with this please tell me because I really am starting to think I am crazy. Thank you!

Hello @howshu and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. You'll see that I moved your post to a discussion already talking about full body electrical shocks. This is so you can connect with other people who are going through similar issues as you.

Have you been taking the medicine for 2 years? Do you only take it when the symptoms occur?
every night
Hello @howshu, I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @amandaburnett and others. Are you able to share a little more about your diagnosis and any tests that you've had?
@johnbishop I am not @howshu, but I have had shocks throughout my body occasionally for 81 years. They seem to hit from my left big toe and go to the top of my head. They hit a few times per year. My major diagnoses that would seem to count here include Gelsolin, LGMD2m with Walker-Warburg, Epilepsy, RYR1, RYR2, leukemia, disappearing cerebellum white matter, rheumatoid arthritis, Clarkson's Disease.
@oldkarl Did you see this reference earlier in the discussion? Wondering if it sounds familiar to your symptoms.
