Lidocaine or Ketamine Infusions

Posted by cwallen9 @cwallen9, Sep 28, 2021

My pain management doctor is recommending that I get lidocaine or ketamine infusions for my pain. I have severe burning neuropathy pain in my feet, legs, hands, and arms, and also severe neck and lower back pain. Has anyone had any success with infusions? The only place that does it near me (Pennsylvania) is George Washington Medical Center. The doctor is submitting my records to see if they will accept me.

Hello @cwallen9. I tried lidocaine infusions for neuropathy pain for 5 months. They provided limited, minimal relief. Ultimately, after reaching the highest dose based on my weight, I found the infusions to be non effective. Each person's response varies and you very well could find relief.

Here is a link about lidocaine and ketamine infusions:

Will you keep us posted on whether you get accepted?

Thanks for the info. Can I ask where you had the infusions done?
