Treating Osteoporosis: What works for you?

Hi, Thank you for your message. I am starting with once weekly OsteoStrong, which means once week osteogenic work, an appointment with an integrative MD at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, and continuing to try to find information about how to treat osteoporosis without the biosphosphonates. I just ended one year of Tymlos, and there have to be other solutions than just jumping on Reclast or an oral bisphonsphates. I would not take Prolia. My mom developed osteonecrosis after five years on Fosamax (early 2000s) and had spinal fracture while she took the Fosamax - so I have not wanted to take the bisphosphonates. I know stress reduction, diet (I also eat a lot of spinach and 5 prunes daily) and weightbearing exercise help. Do you know about AlgaeCal or Dr. Susan Brown of Save Our Bones? https://saveourbones.com/ I wish you well, and will update if I find any promising treatments.

Just what does that entail. I took alendronate but had too many side effects. Dont really want to take prolia.

You can take Evenity after Tymlos. That is my plan if I can do it. After Evenity, I was advised one Reclast infusion and then I will try some natural methods, be monitored and hope to minimize or stay off drugs. My doc does not want Prolia for me.
