@budmeister Hello. I understand that nothing will actually cure neuropathy but I was wondering if you got any pain relief from using the Rebuilder? Thank you.
Make sure you use epsom salts to start with. Following that, I don't really think it is as advertised. I actually bought a 'refurbished' unit from the company back in, mmm,,,,,,,,,about 2006. I know I took it with me when we went to Memphis in 2008. The foot bath itself soothes your tired feet.
No, he is not using the device anymore, although it did seem to bring some relief when he did. His problem was better addressed by the nephrology doctors taking care of his Stage 4 kidney disease. Good, luck to you!
@richardfrancine Hello. I'm very sorry to hear that your husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease. Thank you for responding to my question about the Dr. Ho device. Wishing you both well.

Hello @budmeister Thank you for taking the time and interest to respond to my inquiry. I appreciate your honest assessment. Basically it sounds like you use the device as a nice soothing foot which I imagine does feel good. It certainly advertises itself as one of those things to good to be true (scam) but even when you know better it's hard not to want to give in.
Has anybody tried this for neuropathy?I don't have pain in my toes but they are numb.My dr.says not to get the rebuilder unless Mayo Clinic approves it.so he gave me 30mgs of cymbalta.has anybody tried the rebuilder

Welcome @dianecarol47. Members here on Mayo Clinic Connect are patients like you. So we cannot give a Mayo medical expert opinion on the Rebuilder. However, it’s good to do your research before investing in medical devices to find out if the results of real patients match that of the manufacturers claim.

SCAM - SCAM - SCAM ALERT! There are entire industries devoted to taking advantage of desperate, medically challenged people. PLEASE, talk to your Dr., a person with a legit medical background when it comes to any therapy or med for Neuropathy. These blood suckers will say and do anything to get your $.
About three years ago, my husband bought me the Four Motors full ankle, calf and foot massager £108.99. It advertises as Shiatsu kneading and rolling massage. The first few times I tried it, it was agony, as my feet and legs had not been manipulated for years, having long term motor neuropathy. I stuck with it and although it advises to use it for 15 minute sessions, I was only managing four minutes. However, it gradually improved and became much easier, as my legs became used to the massage, and now I use it every day, once or twice for fifteen minutes. I now find it very comfortable and relaxing. It has three 'speeds' and also a switch for it to become heated whilst using if required (brilliant for dead, cold feet). I would heartily recommend this, so easy to use, like slipping your lower legs into a pair of open boots, and I feel that it has helped both my circulation and the flexibility of my lower legs. Hope this helps someone else.

I used it foe a year and a half. Totally useless toy.
I have used it too. A waste of money and time.
Like many others, I was too sensitive for the Rebuilder. It produces a strong electric current that I couldn’t tolerate even at level 1.

For that reason, I moved your question about the device to this existing discussion:
- THE REBUILDER for peripheral neuropathy https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/the-rebuilder-for-peripheral-neuropathy/
I did this so you can see the previous comments from @johnbhishop @joslyn @julkun @jessielee and others, and connect with them.
Here’s a link to the FDA’s Warning Letter to ReBuilder Medical Technologies, Inc.: https://quackwatch.org/cases/fdawarning/prod/fda-warning-letters-about-products-2008/rebuilder/
The letter calls out the company for making false claims for which it has not be approved, including its false claim that it helps neuropathy.
Thank you so much.I don't think I will buy this rebuilder
