My husband and I got a shingles vaccine the same day as our flu shot last year. We were both on the couch all day the next day, it hit us hard, maybe it was the shingles shot, but I will not do that again.

@jetsetter From everything I have heard the shingles shot does have stronger side effects than most vaccines. I have not had it due to it not yet being recommended for me but most of the people I know who have had did have side effects.
I am definitely getting the flu vaccine soon. I generally wait until October because that way it lasts pretty much through flu season but the recommendation this year is to get it earlier, I guess because there was so little spread of the flu last year with everyone isolating.
