@nick52, I looked up each individual ingredient in Clear Lungs, seems that the one ingredient, licorice, can be dangerous to many people with other underlying health issues. If more than three grams a day is used, it can lower potassium levels and cause high blood pressure. People with heart, liver, or kidney disease should not take suppliments with licorice. Also, people with diabetes should avoid it also, along with people who use corticosteroids; which is most patients with COPD. One needs to discuss this licorice ingredient with their doctor before use. Gosh, licorice! Who knew??

Dear pfists,

Let us know how things goes.  I check on google to find the book herbal antibiotics and can't find it on the web.  You wouldn't have an address where I could order the book. Thanks Nicole

@nick52
The Author is Stephen Harrod Buhner

"Herbal Antibiotics, 2nd Edition: Natural Alternatives for Treating Drug-resistant Bacteria"
It can be found on Amazon...
Sorry I didn't give its full name the first time.

I still think is it ashamed that there is so little research and progress in finding a better treatment that we have to resort to finding alternatives ourselves.

How do we get the word out there? Is this a reportable to State Public Health Departments, the CDC etc. If not, maybe it should be. That was more attention

will be focused on this and hopefully more research in treatments.

Dear Shari,

I am glad to know your doctor do broncoscopy to keep your lung clean. My dr. Does the same here and I was wondering if someone else had the same treatment. I do not like that he needs to give versed and fentanyl to sleep. Does your

Dr put you to sleep or you are awake?

@nick52
Sorry I didn't see your question until now.
My Doctor does not put me out completely with the borchoscope but really relaxed. I did try to watch the procedure on the screen with a little success.
He mentioned doing 3-4 scopes a year.
Since then I have been feeling real good with way more energy and breathing better. Also ragweed season is over which Im allergic to so not sure how much is the scope or other things. I also noticed on the days the fires were going on and our air quality was bad I couldn't be out much at all.
How are you doing and did you decide to get the book?
Take care,
Shari

I have been reading some of the sections online. I read allot about the 2 herbs.

I think I will get the book and do some price comparisons from sources of the herbs but want to stay with the same formulation.
