Lab results: What does this mean?

Posted by KeepingHeadUp @elizabeth513, Aug 23, 2021

I just went into my doctors Office today and had a urine sample and it looks abnormal and she’s out for the day now as they closed at 5 pm. Just wondering what this could mean as I’ve been having a low grade temperature with a weird urine output. Along witj a lot of other symptoms such and middle lower back pain and shortness of breath and a heart rate above 100bpm.
I’ve attached screenshots.

I understand you are rightfully concerned about abnormal results, as any of us would be. It's upsetting for you to think you need to wait until tomorrow to find out more information. Is there an on-call doctor from the practice who you can connect with? I suggest listing out your symptoms, time of day they occur and what your activity level might be at that time, to help your doctor narrow down the issues at hand. You might have a urinary tract infection, or bladder infection, or some other upset to your system. It doesn't take much sometimes for us to get "off kilter".

Let me know what you decide, okay?

Hopefully you will get a call. In the meantime, try to get some rest tonight, not lay there worrying. Follow-up first thing in the morning and keep bugging them until you get some information!!

If you are not feeling well. Likely an infection.

@elizabeth513 How are you doing this morning? Were you able to rest last night, and get any information from your dr's office this morning?

Yes, the ARPN claims it’s not a urine infection but my rheumatologist thinks it is so I’m not to sure at this point. I was able to sleep decently but woke up with diarrhea which I couldn’t hold in and had an accident and they didn’t really seem to care so I don’t know I just feel like they think I’m some hypochondriac.

@elizabeth513 In the past, my oncologist has stepped forward to do some things another dr should have/could have done, because he felt it was important. Perhaps ask your rheumatologist to speak to your dr, or ask him/her if they will help you themselves?

It certainly sounds like something is going on with your system, given the variety of what is happening. Have you thought about lots of fluids to flush your kidneys, and bland foods to tame down the diarrhea?

I will have to see what I can do, I feel like they are just trying to shut me up sometimes as they prescribed me a beta-blocker when I do not have Hugh blood pressure and they haven’t even received my data back from the holter monitor I was wearing which seems pretty unprofessional in my opinion considering they don’t know what’s going on with my heart even just that it’s been above 100bpm normal sinus tachycardia.
