What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@jakedduck1 We have lived in this town, a border town outside of Manchester, NH, for over 40 years and it's gotten much worse because the town has gotten so much more developed that there are fewer places for the animals to go. When we first moved here the population was about 5,000, now it's over 20,000. The wooded area you see in that picture is narrow, there's a street that runs parallel to ours beyond it and in the winter you can see houses beyond it. The lots here are big so our land goes back a ways, we have over 2 acres. Of course we have our own well and septic so the lots need to be big enough to allow for those.
People see all kinds of animals though. Apparently, Fisher Cats are common although I've never seen one but there's a sports team in Manchester with that name.
You would have enjoyed a chocolate filled coffee cake I made this week when my husband had some friends over.

Well, this isn’t outside my window. We’re still in Crested Butte and this a picture from the end of the street. This is such a relaxing place to be!
@becsbuddy Hello, Becky! lovely picture....where's Crested Butte and why are your there? Looks and sounds like Arizona or Texas or Utah or Oregon....quite a dissimilar group, I know, but came to mind with the name. What
'cha doing in that place? I've been off the page for a bit and seems I've missed your fun.....enjoy. It does look relaxing and peaceful. Kind of strange to put a bench all alone at the end of the asphalt, tho. HMmmmm. Guess no where to go so you can just have a hard seat and hang out a bit.
Blessings and enjoy your seat....elizabeth
Hi @ess77 It’s great to hear from you! We’re in Crested Butte which is in the middle of Colorado in a high mountain valley. It’s a small town that still has some dirt roads and old miner’s shacks. But its also just beautiful! Our son and his family live here. Our DIL grew up here on a ranch just out side of town. She’s a nurse who works for Denver Children’ Hospital and he is a graphic designer who mostly works with the outdoor sports industry. We’re here because their 2 little ones have birthdays and our son and wife have a wedding anniversary (so we get to babysit!). The lonely bench is at a trailhead for long hikes in the mountains. Me, ill just sit and look at the view
Are you and your son doing alright? I know you’ve been under the weather, but i just hope you’re getting better.
P.S. it gets cold at night here. Down to 35!
@loribmt
Do you have two user names?
Nope, just the one. Why, do I have a doppelgänger? The world isn’t ready for two of me. 😂
@loribmt. Hahaha, I disagree, Lori! The world would be a better place with two of you in it!!
😂 There can be only one!
Baaahhaahahah!!!! Dang, I didn’t think this video of me during my stem cell transplant went viral!!! 😂
Um, thank you, Laurie. My husband would be to differ. 😂
