Anyone here dealing with peripheral neuropathy?

You may find this simplistic,but have you experimented with various stretches ? Its the only thing that helps me,you have to do them multiple times a day

No feeling in my feet (numb) I don’t feel heat or cold sensations I have burnt my feet and cut as well I can’t stand on my own to exercise walker I can go about 8 feet a f then wheel chair myself to room to room but it still take me awhile . Meningitis caused my symptoms and damn near killed me .I’m lucky to move a long with nerve roots into my epidural space . Surgery is very risking and just cause more problems

I haven’t been in public besides going to my neurologist and MD for 1-1/2 and Covid is whole other scare for me with low immune system stuff I have control of I’m good it’s the things I don’t have control of
My own body a lot of the time and pain I is a killer hard to write this thanks for the comments appreciated

It is the nerves in my scalp, not a scalp condition. Over the years it has gotten progressively worse. The only thing that gives me a few minutes peace is taking a shower with the spray massaging my scalp. I took Gabapentin for about twelve years, and been on Pregabalin for a couple of years. I truly need relief.

@jeanieweeniexyz - Have you discussed the symptoms with your doctor or a neurologist since it has gotten worse?

I did find some information that mentions several causes for this type of pain. I know that there are others who have scalp itchiness from having Neuropathy (it is that feeling, not pain). My left shoulder is now affected and I have to use a back scratcher to relieve the itch. I have trouble walking, and rely on a rolling walker when I have to leave the house. But I don't have any tingling in my feet as most with Neuropathy have.

It’s interesting to read other people have the itch thing. In my case with Polyneuropathy I also have to scratch my back with a back scratcher several times a day, it drives nuts. I have no pain whatsoever. I have weakness in my legs and therefore I have to walk with a roller walker outside my apartment and sometimes even in my studio apartment. Some days I’m really off balance.

Is anyone else aware of their neuropathy symptoms becoming more apparent during the summer months as apposed to winter? I have noticed my burning pain is worse when the humidity is high. I believe with higher humidity we experience more fluid in our bodies which causes more pressure on the nerves. In places like Arizona does anyone notice a difference?

@avmcbellar so interesting you mention that. My husband who has painful idiopathic peripheral neuropathy just said the same things 2 days ago after a walk where he was experiencing more pain than normal. He was wondering if the the barometric pressure or the high humidity might make the pain worst. (We live in Florida)

I experience symptoms based upon changes in the weather. My feet and legs are ice cold when the weather cools down and burning hot when it gets warm including daily weather changes.
