Lower spine pain after robotic Prostate removal
I had prostate removed using the robotic assistant in April 2018. Before surgery I lifted weights and walked between 5 and 10 miles per day. I have been a cripple ever since. No explanation from surgeons or other docs I have visited. I have had chiropractic treatments and physical therapy with no help. Had injections and finally nerve burning done. Temp relief at best. Now looking into some sort of stimulator being surgically implemented. I am hesitant to do this. Anyone have any suggestions? Thx

@stantallusa Stan, are your doctors looking for the source of your spinal pain? Mayo doctors can refer you to other departments if they see the need to do so. I'm glad your scan was clean. That is some good news. My first spine related appointment at Mayo was with a neurologist who looked for causes of nerve issues and who also ordered other tests before I saw a spine surgeon there.
Thanks. I am trying desperately to get an appointment at Mayo. I realize that most doctors only treat symptoms. No dr here, and I have been to way too many, has ever tried to figure out how a physical very healthy male can go from lift weights and walking 10 miles per day to a cripple in 24 hours. I really think Mayo is my only hope. Thanks for the response.

I tried. Sent them tons of files and images. Got a letter back finally telling me they could not help me. I am so disappointed. Mayo was my last hope
I am sorry. I am sure this was very disappointing. Do you know why, specifically? Also, when did you request the appointment out of curiosity?
Oh well. Mayo turned me down. Think the mesh repair coupled with the Prostate operation was more than they were willing to take on.
So sorry to hear this Stan. What is your next step?
I am not sure. Know I can’t go on living with this pain. I will figure out something. Thanks for asking
In the last week of July. Sent them images, reports. Everything I had.
Chin up, please.... Feeling better now?
