Plantar Fasciitis: How did you get rid of it?
I don't know if this is where this should be posted, but I have a few questions. Almost seems like it goes hand and hand with neuropathy.
Have you had it and how did you get rid of it. I have done 2 injections.. I use ice and ice bottle almost nightly, I've massaged, I've purchased special shoes, and I've worn compression sleeves, plus I've done the night splint.. It just won't go away. I know it's because of the atrophy on that calf.
If you've had it please share what worked for you to get rid of it.

I am late to this discussion but I went to a chiropractor friend of mine who said what I was describing sounded like plantar fasciitis…this was 20 years ago. The heel was really painful for about a month and had never had anything like that before. He gave me a brand name sneaker to wear which I have forgotten . What he suggested was an adjustment to the foot (which he did) and said it may or may not help. One adjustment and I never had heel pain again. The severe pain was gone in the next day or two. Just sharing as a possible solution. He was a dear generous friend who helped so many people and who passed away too soon in life.

my hometown is where Palmer Chiropractic College is! I should be able to find a chiropractor who knows something about feet!
@Erinmfs
Great …I would be interested in knowing if you do find a chiropractor
who would be willing to adjust the feet. Maybe my experience was just a fluke…hard to say.

Ps It didn’t hurt but I remember the anticipation of not knowing what to expect was a bit unnerving…was over in a New York minute if I remember right.
Buy some Birkenstocks! I did, and it really helps. The pain isn't gone completely by wearing them, but I'd say its 90% gone.
Shockwave therapy produced a big improvement for me (after suffering for a year) and has good research support. I strongly recommend it. It's new, so you may need to do some research to find a provider.
Thanks for the suggestion @pacer3702. Here's are a couple of research links for those not familiar with this treatment.

Did not help me at all. I have hip pain and sciatic nerve pain
A slant board to stretch is an absolute no-brainer. Also, over-the-counter insoles help tremendously (try Powerstep). Both inexpensive and non-harmful.

@ arch support, there are several to choose from. Is the neutral pair or specific to ones arch i.e low arch ect
Thank you for the recommendation on slant board.
I use Pinnacle neutral, but everbody is different. I prefer the full length instead of the 3/4 length
