I know I was still very sore and swollen 3 weeks post surgery. I had 5 abdominal surgeries within 13 months. After the 4th surgery when they did Deloyers procedure, the right side of my abdomen bulged out more than the left, probably because the right side is the only area where I still have large intestines. It took probably 3 to 4 months before my innards “settled” and the area looks much more normal now. But any serious pain would have me contacting my doctors or going to the ER

Hello hopeful.. very sorry to hear of the pain u went through. I just wish dr told me the true healing time… when I pressed him he said a month he’s a lier just says what I want to hear. this can take months or longer.. who knows. He told me nothing now I have to live with my decision to do this. Take care I believe in the power of prayer

Hello, @thull Thanks for sharing with Michael, @milddiverticulitus, the length of time it took for your "innards" to settle and the swelling to go down. The time of recovery can be slow as you can well attest after so many of these surgeries.
