I have not known of anyone who has had this problem, but here is some information that might help you understand this a bit better,

Epiretinal membranes can sometimes form after eye surgery, including cataract surgery. The cause of most cases of macular pucker is not known. It does sometimes follow cataract surgery. From the articles above, it appears that surgery is an option to correct the problem if your vision is distorted to a degree that it is causing problems.

Has your doctor offered any suggestions for treating it?
