Hi Mike @mikek206 and @colleenyoung - Here is the article source referenced on ScienceDaily.com on December 7, 2017 from the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard - New compound stops progressive kidney disease in its tracks: https://www.broadinstitute.org/news/new-compound-stops-progressive-kidney-disease-its-tracks

@johnbishop @mike206 Also, here is a meaty article from the National Library on Medicine https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6014699/

It appears the Compound AC1903 and TRPC5 are dealing with podocytes, an issue with FSGS patients. Not all kidney disease patients have this complication. It seems to me it would be critical to establish the exact cause of a patient's CKD in order to benefit from this therapy. Using my case as an example, my glomeruli [filtering components] are being shut down by collagen Type III building up within them. I have extremely high protein leak into my urine and blood as a result. I don't think this therapy of AC1903 would work, for me.

I applaud any advancements in treatment of CKD! We have often heard, "There is no cure for kidney disease." Even dialysis or transplant is simply a treatment, not a cure."

Thanks, John...That's the one...some big Pharmaceutical Company has that info in a file cabinet somewhere...they don't want to cure anything...(no Money in it) all they are looking for are treatments to keep us coming back for more...Pop a Pill every days...keep them coming back...!
