What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@loribmt , @jakedduck1, @sueinmn , @johnbishop, @ess77 Hi guys, I hope you receive these 4 pics of the view out of MY picture window! Discovery Passage leading out to the mighty Pacific Ocean.
Hello, Sue. Yes, don't we love those meds? I am so grateful for them, but the side effects are truly intense at times. My body's in shock today, after the extremely active day yesterday. Things do look nice and feels good, tho. But, so sore and tired today. Start tapering today, good thing.
Thanks for the tip re the afternoon relaxing time. I'm doing that today and expect it to help my head and body to calm some. I've been shaking today, generally yucky, but I'm hoping for some sleep tonight.
No experience with chipmunks, never seen one, but these little fellows are a hoot. We've developed quite a relationship, I'm afraid. I do love nature, animals and plants and some humans, but they are trying my patience. Costing me a fortune. Now, one is sitting on top of a large suet/seed-cake cage, simply in heaven. I put out a new cake of 'gourmet seed' and he's loving it. The woody's and others love the peanuts, as do the squirrels. I'm really happy to help them out, but may have to cancel some renovations in the condo to keep feeding the little guys.
Still processing the newest diagnosis. Interesting how they come out of the blue at times. I had other possibilities in mind....shows us we can't predict, just accept and do what we know to do for our best outcome. I'll know more next week.
I'm so thankful for my little refuge with the birds and squirrels and flowers. It's a small space, but getting better balance and peace. I can't enjoy my colorful hanging baskets so much now because of the squirrel damage. Any suggestions on that front? They can be so destructive. They damaged my fountain last week. My fiance and I bought it at the Atlanta Market when we went on a shopping trip for his shop. We loved that fountain, would sit together on our upstairs porch overlooking the creek and woods and pool, etc. Loved sitting out there in the trees, smoking a lovely, good cigar him with a cocktail, me with my tea or diet coke. What great relaxation, especially in the rain, just visiting and enjoying life. I think it's time for me to regain that feeling, the feeders and patio are getting me there. Must replace the fountain now, tho. Pooh. It had good memories attached.
I'm hoping to have patio pavers and a 2' ish wall installed, to control the dirt and water flooding onto the patio. It will be basic, but good for the space and my mental health. Probably get that started soon. I can't keep it clean due to the rains and floods from outside the fence into my area. I want a little potting bench, too, so I can do some things upright and more easily.
Be well, enjoy your day and rest. You have a real gift in your ability to accomplish life with grace. Bless you. Elizabeth
Well, Laurie, are you trying to win the race for the most hospital visits and stays in 2021? Honey, I'll let you win no problem.....so you can stop with the visits!
I think I might book that room for a week or so, at least. It's a lovely view, healing. Just be sure to ck it out often and don't sleep your way through your mini vacation....HA! How well we know that's not what this is, but take good advantage of it and rest, rest and enjoy good view, good folks and good food.
So sorry to hear of this turn. Is this your fist heart attack? I don't know your history, but good for you getting to the hospital for help. I sat in my recliner in my den for 4 days in 2017 having a little attack, and never knew what happened until an ecg said it was abnormal, myocardial infarction. I read it on the discharge papers from hospital ED before Mayo. This is one of many things that took me to Mayo for care. Good move, too.
Let us know what's happening, my dear lady. Keep that lovely smile in your heart.....helps with healing they say....and on your face for others as well.
Blessings, to you. Elizabeth
nice
@artist01 is the hospital going to name s room after you? I agree with Elizabeth—you’re seeing too much of the hospital. At least you have a beautiful view!. Please take care and stay home!
@ess77. And the winner is....@artist01!!! Hahaha. That's only 4 times since April! Maybe they'll name a whole wing after me, never mind just a room.
😇
@ess77. Yes, this is my first heart attack. Gosh, so many doctors, so many tests. So much activity. Someone's on their way now to check out my pacemaker. Blood tests a few times a day, x-rays,
@becsbuďdy. OK, Becky, whatever you say! 🤣 Honestly, kids, I'm trying to stay out of the hospital. Honestly! Thanks so much for the good message.
@artist01 Laurie!! What the heck. I’m away from my computer for a couple days and I see this news of a heart attack?? Oh my goodness, you have been through the wringer lately, my friend! I’m so sorry to hear of this latest development. Are you doing ok now? I need to catch up on the other comments…
Your view is absolutely gorgeous, Laurie! I’m beginning to see why you like visiting the hospital so much! 😜 Kidding.
Please, feel free to write to me anytime! I never feel burdened with helping to lighten someone else’s load. It’s who I am. 😊 haha and Jake will always give you a rough time, it’s who HE is! 😅
I’ll be back full-ish time Wednesday. Tomorrow is travel day back from Mayo Rochester. This day full of procedures and such has kicked my bum 4 ways~up, down, hard and repeatedly. First time the anesthesia made me nauseated all day. Finally got to nibble some toast for dinner. Not the night out dining that we’d planned!! Anyway, early to bed for me. But I saw this message and had to reply!
You take care, dear heart!! I’ll talk to you soon! Sending love, Lori
@artist01
Boy oh boy oh boy, what some people won't do to get out of going to a birthday party. Don't you think a heart attack is a bit drastic? Okay, you don't have to come. Your off the hook so don't be having a stroke.
I want a stop put to all these hospitalizations, enough
already!!!
Get well & thats an order!!!
Jake
