@pickleballnut

My husband has had several ischemic strokes over the last 3 months and two small ones prior that only showed on MRI. He is doing well but he has these bizarre sensations like electricity shooting thru his body! Not painful but disconcerting since no one seems to have an answer. He will not see a neurologist for follow up from the April
26 and the June 6 stroke hospitalizations until mid September! That seems crazy!! Anyone know of this symptom and/ or experience such bizarre sensations. He has movement and walks pretty good without assistance. Cognitive is good but vision was impaired. He has a blind spot but Physical Therapy is helping the brain rewire. He has been A-fib forever and now takes Eliquis, Entresto, 325 aspirin, 80mg Lipitor, metoprolol and spironalactane.

Hello @pickleballnut. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! Love your handle and pickleball as well.

The way you have explained your husband's sensory experience regarding the electric shock feeling makes me wonder if you have heard of myoclonic seizures or if that was ever discussed?

- Myoclonic Seizure:

Does any of this description resonate with the timing of the seizures that he feels the electric sensation?

I am sorry about your husbands difficulties. However his strokes being so close together it’s pretty scary to me I just had my first one. You also said that he “walks pretty well”. I wonder what is ahead of me. I imagine those electrical feelings he’s having are pretty disconcerting specially when the doctors can’t help. That is really irritating. I will keep you in my thoughts.
