Catherine, do you currently have a c diff infection? What foods agree well with you?

Hello,

Thank you for the reply. I was diagnosed over one month ago and took Vancomycin. I believe it was a mild case and was not on any antibiotics prior to illness. However, I was sick 3 years ago with stomach issues and extreme fatigue and night sweats. The lab kept saying they would not be able to test my sample (too formed) - but I was put on Flagyl by the doctor. From this sickness of 3 years ago, my digestion has never been the same. Last month I was sick, I was diagnosed after finally getting a new gastroenterologist. I now believe this is what I had 3 years ago and it went undiagnosed. I’m trying to figure out what to eat to not have a relapse. I’m in my late 40’s and have a lot of anxiety about it all. Currently, I am eating very bland foods, no gluten, and minimal dairy. The doctor had me get a very expensive refrigerated probiotic.

I read that an ingredient like Trehalose, which is in foods can make things worse and for me, I can’t take anything with zinc (I read in a study that zinc can be bad for this illness) I am hoping a better diet will help.
