I am old and crippled up
I am 75. I can not sit, stand, or walk. I can not ride in a car. I can find no one NO ONE to help me. I worked all my life and ow I am crippled up and can not do anything. Doctors will not help me, the VA will not help me, Medicare will not help me, AARP will not help me. Right now I am just trying to find some organization that will help me get back up on my feet. Anybody got any ideas? Thank you for reading my gripe.

Thank you, Ginger!!
I do appreciate everyone helping me. I do not know why sometimes the comments go through and sometimes they do not. Sometimes I will try to post a comment and it will give me some kind of an error. Maybe, probably, it is my fault, so I will apologize if I have hurt anyone's feelings.- Sorry.
The guy that I talked to from Medicaid said that I could apply for food assistance. Well we are eating, probably too much.. We eat a lot more hamburger than we do prime rib, but we are eating. I just am not looking for food assistance,.
This message came through perfectly, Okwrangler. I'm glad to hear that food assistance is one thing you're not in need of.
I can't believe I didn't mention Aunt Betha before now. "My Help Navigator" powered by Aunt Bertha is a social care network that connects people and programs — making it easy for people to find social services in their communities, for nonprofits to coordinate their efforts, and for customers to integrate social care into the work they already do.
Here's the link to Aunt Bertha’s navigator: https://myhelpnavigator.auntbertha.com/
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I will go through all the sites and see which ones I can use. I did open it up and there is a lot of information to go through. Thank you again
To @artist01, @colleenyoung, @becsbuddy, @gingerw, @jakedduck1, @sueinmn, and all....I'm so impressed. What a group of fantastic, loving, kind, competent folks you are. You are remarkable, each of you. And, put you together, there's no stopping you. @okwranger, you have had some great folks helping out. Lots of years of suffering and learning how to make it are helping you. You've come a long way it seems to this point. Now, you have good info and great contacts and can get help you need. Congratulations.
Blessings to each of you and to Wrangler, you be blessed and may you find the peace and comfort you need. elizabeth
@okwrangler We have not heard from you, will you post to give us an update how you are doing this weekend, please?
Ginger
Dear Elizabeth; You are exactly right - there are a lot of people o this forum who are offeriig a lot of helpful information, and I wish I could shake each of their hands and give each of them a proper thank you, but none of the information applied to me. You see, I did call Medicare, and I do not qualify for Medicare; and I called Social Services to see if I could get a social worker to come out and talk with me , and I can not. The Aunt Bertha site is a great site for some people, but
I went through every category and none of it applied to me. For example, if I needed help getting air transportation to a hospital, they will arrange for air transportation. Except, i have to be able to get on and off of the plane by myself. Also, they will help me get a bus pass, except, No 1, I have to be able to sit o a bus, and, No. 2 - there are no buses in my area.
I am not trying to be negettive. It is just that this is what I have ran into for the last three years.
And my name is Gary.
Thank you.
Dear Ginger:
I can honestly say that my left knee is feeling better. Oh, it still hurts, just not as bad as it did a week ago. I still can not crawl on it, but a little improvement is encouraging. I am still confident that I am going to get back up on my feet.
Thank you for asking.
Gary
Best of luck to you
