What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

Oh, @ess77 Elizabeth, I’ve been wondering where you were, but certainly didn’t expect this! I am so glad you’ve gotten Home Health Care and your son also. You are very special to us and want you to continue being a strong presence on Connect and a friend to all. Becky
@loribmt. Beautiful, Lori! Reminds me of a Monet painting.
@ess77 Hi Elizabeth. I'm very sorry to hear of the trauma you and your son have been through. You are so strong for him, even though you are depleted of so much in every way yourself. We're all thinking of you and missing you. Rest now! Hugs, Laurie
Oh my, what another trial you have had.
So very glad though, that finally you will both be getting long-needed help.
Sending every prayer and good thought your way as you ride out yet another storm.
Sue
I believe that shows the true character of a person, how they treat an animal or person in need. Bless you, sister!
LOL. But for how long??? Give ‘em time! Squirrels are sneaky, crafty little buggers!!
The indigo bunting is glorious! What thrill to see that at your feeder. Thank you for sharing!
Sigh, there have been some crafty critters who've made the jump above the guard. I moved it up to about 5 ft in height and it helped some but it's been knocked down on the ground a few times. I'm thinking of getting a new pole and making it a little higher but then that also makes it harder for me to fill the feeders 🙂 I've had to go out with my cordless snow shovel in the winter when the snow was heavy and clear it around the feeder. When the snow gets higher is when they can jump above the guard.
I don't see the indigo buntings often but they are really one of my favorites besides the pileated woodpecker.
@ess77 Oh my goodness, Elizabeth!! I sure didn’t expect to see news like this! No wonder you were diagnosed with exhaustion, you sweet lady. You’ve been under so much stress with your own health and this event with your son has to be overwhelming for you. As Becky said, it’s wonderful you now are both receiving Home Care. Your son needs help and you’re in no position to take care of yourself and Rob. I hope and pray you’re able to get some much needed rest and that Rob is recouping and can get some normalcy back in his life. He sure went through a horrible situation with being so ill.
Do you have any neighbors or a church group who can help you get ready for the storm? If you don’t already, can you order groceries online and have them delivered to your house? Aw, Elizabeth, I hope you can feel the strength of your Connect family behind you.
Many thoughts and prayers coming your way, dear heart. Fondly, Lori.
@artscaping. Chris, it looks so inviting! Shady and cool looking. It's a joy to see, in this heatwave so many of us are suffering right now.
@johnbishop. John, your bluebirds are stunning! And being from the Pacific Northwest, we never see squirrels so, of course, I think of them as cute and not as pesty little varmints. (That poor hungry little guy being turned away from the birds' buffet.) My bad! ❤ Laurie
