Hi Sue;

Thank you for the response.

'I see from the title you chose for this discussion that you feel your hip pain is not from arthritis in the joint, may I ask why'

I has X-rays done on Tuesday, 6/22 at the suggestion of my GP, and the report was, I believe, 'minimal' joint degenerative disease'.

Which, with my minimal knowledge and research, has now lead me to either Trochanteric bursitis or Meralgia paraesthetica.

I anxiously await the PT referral from my GP.

Thanks for replying - here is what Mayo Clinic has to say: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/meralgia-paresthetica/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20355639 and https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bursitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20353242.
My bursitis was treated with a combination of PT and steroid injection into the bursa. It still "speaks" to me occasionally, but doesn't affect my life.
