Want to discuss prolapse bladder or any kind of prolapse

Posted by Tanglefoot @tanglefoot, Aug 2, 2015

I am looking to discuss prolapse bladder or any kind of prolapse that other ladies have experienced as well. I would also like to comment on incontinence as well. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to prolapse bladder etc and it seems to be a silent epidemic among women. If there are others out there like me, lets talk about it and I have some solutions. I am surviving prolapse bladder without surgery and I have been living with it for over ten years. I wear a support garment that is light and easy weight and fits right under my existing underwear. Don't know what you are doing or wearing, but I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

New to this discussion!
For the last 3 years I have had many UTI's. I have had a urology woorkup and found nothing outstanding. I have used antibiotic and over the counter drug but they reappear. I do have a prolapse bladder also and I am wondering where to turn next? I am 73 and in good health.

I have not had UTI since switching from baths to showers and using dove soap (no perfumes). Good luck!

Hello I'm 31 years old and just had anterior and posterior repair for my bladder and my rectum. Gosh after surgery stay on top of your meds. Because it feels like a dull knife is going at you. The pain after Anastasia wore off was like a 8 nothing to horrible. Today is day 2. I'm feeling more uncomfortable and sore down there more then anything. I'm really hopeful that this repair will last me until Jesus second coming Because I would not want to do that again. I just have to wait and see now

Hi, @vera90222 Welcome to Connect.
Thank you for posting about your surgeries. You sure do not make them sound appealing but we do what we have to do. Were these for incontinence issues? I ask because I am dealing with similar problems. I hope to not have to resort to surgery but I have done pelvic floor PT and had botox injections.

I hope your pain diminishes quickly, every day making a leap forward.

I am new to this forum. I have recently been diagnosed with a cystocele. I am waiting to see a gynecologist.............but not as long as some. One of the gynecologists I called has a wait time of 2 years. I am reading about this condition and quite frankly do not know what to do. I have started doing pelvic floor exercises and am scheduled to see a pelvic floor physio therapist in about a month. I am very uncomfortable with this condition and would like some input as to what I can do about it.

Hi,

There are numerous conversations on this forum about prolapse. In the search area on the top of the screen just type “prolapse” and you will see an abundance of discussions. FYI a pelvic therapist is an excellent route to go. No need to feel uncomfortable as prolapse is so common among women of all ages and there are options that have been discussed. You can read what others have tried and what worked and didn’t work for them.

Hi Colleen
FYI I bought the product and found it to be useless-I threw it out. I was unable to find a place in which to post a negative review on the internet.
