Yes, I had forgotten Kinesio tape - we played walyball/volleyball for almost 30 years, and by the time our group retired, it was the most popular accessory.
I have used it on both hip and shoulder bursitis, I reinforce surgically repaired wrists and thumbs when I cannot wear my splints ( you can wash or shower with it on) and tomorrow I'll apply to the knee I torqued yesterday before heading out to garden.
It is best to learn the technique from a PT then tweak it to work for you.
