bacterial conjunctivitis Loss of vision
I have been in and out of the ophthalmologist. My symptoms was my left eye was in pain and the very bottom of my vision felt like a light was shining in my eye, very sensitive to light. He did and exam and he said it came back normal. A few days later I woke up with discharge coming from my eye. I went back to the doctor he said I had, bacterial conjunctivitis my eye is not pink at all, but it feels swollen and in pain and feels like something is in my eye and the vision is really bothering me. He prescribed me a antibiotic drop to take for 5 days. I am concerned that I may have something different, and my vision is worrying me it will not come back to normal. Thanks for all the feedback and support.

I hope your eye heals on its own - I have had sudden vision issues in the past, and they sometimes improve spontaneously. Here is a little info about NAION:

Here is a discussion on Mayo Connect by some people who have experienced it. https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/non-arteritic-ischemic-optic-neuropathy/
Also, on a more positive note, I have a hole in my ??? just outside my central vision - diagnosed 15 years ago - while it did not go away, my brain was able to compensate. Now I only notice it under very low light or stressful conditions. The ophthalmologist checks it 2 times a year, and it never seems to change.

Hello @godislove
I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis of NAION. I found some information from the John Hopkins website that might give you more information about this disorder. Here is the link, https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/news/articles/maintaining-momentum-in-naion-research.
I hope that your follow-up appointments go well.
