I was taking 400mg a day as prescribed by a psychiatrist that had me on so many meds that I was hallucinating and hearing things that didn’t exist. One result was that my car keys were taken away and my over the top, erratic behavior almost drove my wife away.

I honestly believe that the Seriquel was a major contributor to my problems so I started weaning myself off while at the same time looking for a new psychiatrist. I was blessed to find one that was also a pharmacologist. He told me that I was being grossly over medicated and started a 6 month duration of weaning me off of most of the meds that I was on. He about blew a gasket when I told him that before seeing him I weaned myself off of the Seriquel in 3 weeks.

Things are much better now but I still have a long road ahead of me.
