Hello @kevingciccone, Welcome to Connect. I'm sorry to hear you are in so much pain after your knee replacement surgery. My surgeon really got on my case when my recovery wasn't going as well as he thought it should. I didn't have the pain you do but I did have a lot of redness and swelling of the leg. I was not icing and elevating as much as frequently as he wanted. It also helped me at night when sleeping to have a pillow under the mattress at the bottom part of the bed to slightly elevate my legs during the night.

Did your surgeon or care team give you some directions on icing and elevating during the day?

I know it's only been 3 weeks in 4 days since my surgery but I was not prepared for this severe nerve pain the top of my foot when it is the down position turned red like sunburn and putting pressure on it is extremely painful elevated which is about 12:14 A-day a colour turned somewhat normal I am very concerned that this may be a very long process or a permanent nerve issue. Thank you for your input.
