Arachnoiditis: Looking to talk with others
I just got diagnosed with arachnoiditis. The radiologist found it on my MRI. I have had 7 steroid injections and I fear that they have caused this chronic situation. My back is worse than it ever was.

Dr. Tennant has a website and E-mail address where you can get information on the drugs that he recommends. The E-mail is tennantfoundation9@gmail.com and the website is http://www.arachnoiditishope.com. Good luck.

Yes please Ralph, could you tell us where to find those exercises and diet?
Thank you !
Some doctors want me to take Neurontin or Lyrica. I experienced amnesia when taking them and did not make a difference
Is anyone taking dies meds?
Does anyone take Neurontin or Lyrica?
Has anyone experienced memory loss when on those meds?
Hello @kenyalama,
I took Neurontin for about 3 weeks when I had Shingles. It helped with the pain. I did feel foggy when I took it and slept a lot but I never experienced amnesia.
I found it very helpful for the nerve pain associated with Shingles.
Please remember that everyone reacts to medicines differently.
I took a very small dose, 100 mg as needed. Are you taking a higher dose?
Hello!
I am not taking Neurontin or Lyrica. While taking Neurontin I woke up from a nap after returning from a pleasant trip to New York City and I could not remember what time it was or what I had done in the morning
Scary!
But yes, everyone reacts differently to medicines.
I am on Dilantin, Backifen, Magnesium etc and a dilaudid spinal pump for a relentless Trigeminal neuralgia but none of that helps with either the arachnoiditis and pelvic floor issues caused by it
For one block plus I need a scooter or wheelchair
Thank you for your work as a volunteer.
