Hello! I had my 6 week post op check up. My surgeon is happy with both my extension and flexion so no surgical manipulation. I did ask him about the pain on the outside of my knee. He explained that when they did my total knee, they straightened my bone and this is causing my muscles to have to adjust also (i saw the x-rays and boy did they straighten it). PT and the PA also said the same thing with the pain. I am still taking a pain pill at night as it starts to really burn after all day. He did suggest I try Voltaren and I started that last night. I would ecstatic if this pain also clears up.

It sounds like you and your clinicians are on the same page. Congratulations. A long time ago, I used Voltaren and it was helpful for me and has been around a long time. It was Rx only then.

It takes a while for the pain to "clear up". Easy does it at this point.
May you be safe and protected.
