Hello @gran61, Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry to hear your husband did not find relief with the Proclaim device and is still having increasing pain and discomfort. Thank you for sharing his experience with the device and details of how the implant was done. You mentioned he is considering the Nevro HF10 but only if done by a neurosurgeon. Has he consulted with a neurosurgeon yet to see if it is an option for him?

Hubby is in pain management and the doc sent him to a neurosurgeon to see if there was any possible surgery that might help. Surgery was not suggested,but the neurosurgeon suggested the Boston Scientific stimulator. The pain management doc prefers the HF10. I am assuming that a neurosurgeon will implant it. We believe that his bad experience with the Abbott/St. Jude might be because a neurosurgeon did NOT implant the device. Waiting for next appt. with pain management. There are other issues--"loose" hardware from a fusion in 2007.
