I had really bad stomach pain, can’t eat couldn’t drink so I went to the ER they ran tests on me and said I was medically fine. But I was very dehydrated. They gave me a iv and anti nausea. Today I can’t eat still, I can drink a little and I made a doctors appointment on zoom. The doctor said I most likely have a stomach infection. I feel like it’s not that because I’ve had the stomach flu and it never felt like this. I’m in constant pain my stomach aches and I get waves of intense nausea and discomfort. I’m only 17 and I’m very scared. Please give me advice.

@nikkicxncel There is a white cell blood test ... when the appendix starts leaking that's real trouble.. an Ultrasound of that area is easy for the ER to do..

...dont want to scare anyone but many years ago daughter in her 20s then stomach pain, went to emerge here and cos her white blood count , or such, said not appendix and sent her home; boyfriend bundled her up as she was lying on floor in pain, drove back to Ottawa - same thing, blood count ok. sent her home. He took her back, 3rd emerge visit and he phoned that night she had 10 inches bowel removed, Crohn's .... am hoping this not that serious, but true story and not sure how they finally discovered - maybe exploratory surgery I cant recall.... but everything has to be taken seriously and proper tests done and because one test comes back ok, then look for something else? Good luck my dear!

I was in pain in my early 20s for 6 weeks . It turned out I had to have exploratory lap surgery. Endometrioses was everywhere. They also took out my appendix . You should be seen by a top surgeon. For his opinion. You're so young , I hope your parents are helping you.

@nikkicxncel - It has been a couple of days now- how are you doing this morning?
If you still feel as sick as you did when you first posted you may have been back to the ER. Do you have a parent with you for support?
The ER should repeat blood test and perform an ultrasound and even a CT scan if you still have the pain and nausea.
Also, you are quite dehydrated and you should have received IV fluids in ER. Dehydration can worsen the pain too.
You are young, but they should still make sure you don’t have appendicitis or even gallbladder problems. My son was 16 when he had appendicitis and my daughter 19 when she had her gallbladder removed.
Please let us know how you are doing today!
