where to stay with discounts and shuttle while at Mayo Clinic

I no longer live in Rochester but I do have a friend that does short and long term rentals. (Started specifically to help people goingbto Mayo) You couldn't find lovelier people. Their website is: https://www.coveredbyfaithrental.com/. Wishing you the best.

We have been there twice but can’t remember where we stayed . The first visit was 26 yrs ago, hotel had shuttle to the clinic. Lots of hotels that cater to clinic patients
Good luck

I was there end of January and my daughter was with me as my caretaker, and I rented a little apartment through air B&B. It was in easy walking distance to the Mayo. It was super well run, and all the basic supplies came with the unit. I did air B&B last year, too. It is so much cheaper than any of the hotels, and has more conveniences, too.

If you are female, you can stay for free for one week at the two housing buildings of the Hands of Compassion Ministry. There is no religious pressure or any such if you stay with them down town Rochester (Walking Distance to Mayo, or also reached by the Mayo shuttle). They have some double rooms to accommodate husband and wife, or two females (Mayo patient and caretaker). All rooms are fully equipped, and they have a large kitchen with fridge space for each room. I stayed there a few times, and liked it way better than some of the low cost hotels around. You can leave a free will donation when you leave.
For a reservation, you have o call as early as possible as early as possible, because they are booked out most of the time.
If interested, call 507-289-6025
Again, it is for females only, and sometimes for their spouses. This makes it a very safe environment for females.

Hi, We are traveling to Mayo in late June for 2 weeks/surgery/post-op, etc. Are there any tips for housing (4 adults) other than the Air B&B route, etc? We will be at St Mary's -- Thanks!

I just returned from a visit to Mayo and stayed at StayBridge Suites - Mayo Clinic Area. It is right across the street from St. Mary's. It also has a complimentary shuttle to both the Mayo Clinic and St. Mary's. I appreciated the underground parking ($15/day), but I felt that my vehicle was secure in their underground lot which could only be accessed via your room key card. They also have complimentary breakfast, an evening social with food on Monday - Wednesday, and I stayed in a room with an excellent kitchenette. I can definitely recommend them and will absolutely stay with them again on return visits to Mayo.

My wife and I have both recently ended up coming to Mayo in Rochester, unfortunately, quite a bit lately. We are close enough to make the drive but with a recent 6:45 appt. have decided staying over is not a bad idea. So was wondering if there is reasonably priced (100.00-ish?) accommodations in the area. Just a clean OK place to sleep is all we need. Nothing fancy...pools, restaurants, etc are not necessary. We know our way around town fairly well but would like to stay within a reasonable distance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Michael

Like nancy82415, we will be staying at the S Broadway Econolodge for 2 nights this week and we also have been staying there for about 7 or 8 years while at the Mayo Clinic.
