Carol, A private message (PM) is accessed by clicking the envelope icon top right.
-You and just add your new message for me to the PM message chain that you and I have already established, and I will get it (either see a notice in me email, or see a little red number in a circle on the envelope icon).
-If you want to include others in the PM, you would need to start a new message by clicking "Compose) and adding the persons you want to include in the PM. Only those persons will have access to that PM.

Does this help you?

I have a trick to share!
There is the link to Get Started on Connect that is located in the bottom left corner of this page. You can open it there by clicking on it, or open it thru this link- https://connect.mayoclinic.org/get-started-on-connect/
You can find the how to do the private messaging, and other helpful tidbits.

I'll be looking for your message as I check in during the day.
You are doing great! It will become easier for you.

You won't believe this, but that's what I thought I was doing. Then, when I had an answer, posts from other mentors on other topics were attached. Maybe it's a dialogue they are having about something else, but I have to read through to get to an answer. All this extra reading has my inbox overflowing. A one post to another just one post is what I thought private message was, but everything is attached to everything else.
It helps for you to tell me, and I will go to the Get Started site. I am probably three hours behind already today. I cook and prepare our meals, and tried to post inbetween cooking lunch, which absolutely ws ridiculous. I am spending hours spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. I want to read the heart and eye threads to know more about helping my husband, but that looks as if it's not going to happen. There is no time; I'm still trying to find basic computer operations of being a Volunteer Mentor. As an OCD, Type A personality, I get very angry at myself for not knowing.
I'll continue to get through all of these technology terrors. It's a perfect day for more of these horrors since it's Halloween!
Thanks again. I owe you in advance because I know I will be lost, maybe forever in this tech world, which I do not like because it doesn't like me; that's for sure.
