Except for people with the rare seizure disorder called Musicogenic Epilepsy. They have seizures when music or certain frequencies are heard.
I had not heard of this, @jakedduck1 but am not surprised that music can have this affect for some people with epilepsy.
Actually Colleen I should have been more accurate in my explanation.
The actual seizures themselves are called “Musicogenic Seizures” and they are one type of seizure of Reflex Epilepsy.
My sincere apologies for my previous post. I didn’t intend to mislead anyone.
Music can actually stop seizures in some people, it’s called the Mozart effect.
I used to drive the handicapped bus which I had to have extra training for. Seizures were given quite a bit of attention because of the way light (such as shining through trees & flashing) & noise (such as certain tempos & tones) could trigger seizures. That is why ADA buses always have tinted windows & never play music.
