How is is decided what facility the organ goes to once it becomes available? As in Mayo or another transplant center that may be close too.
Is normothermic machine perfusion becoming more popular for OLT at Mayo? What is the maximum cut off for cold-ischemia time (in number of hours) at your center if using hypothermic solutions?
I am interested in the last question also. It seems as if some very sick people have MELDs in the teens whereas other people who seem to be less sick are in the high 20s. What causes this?
Also, I have had a transplant, If something happened to me, not liver related, could that liver be transplanted again?

How do you know when it is time to get a living donor transplant with PSC? Is it better to get it sooner rather than later? MELD is pretty low, and overall health is good, but if you wait until very sick is that a smart thing to do, rather than when younger and overall healthier?
