I don't mean to be nitpicking, but sometimes I like to refer a member to/ or / reference a particular 'whatever' it is called. I would like to get it right:-)

You are not nitpicking at all! It is good to have the right words to fit the situation.
I always think of a Discussion as being a part of a large category, fox example - I think that in the Transplant group, "This and That" as a Discussion, the same with "Living Donor."
In my thinking, conversation is what goes on within a Discussion
Group (to my thinking) would be "Transplant" or "Parkinson's" or "Neuropathy" etc.
