My partner was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastasis to bile duct at age 51. She was also diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 10 years ago. in one month's time, she seems to have deteriorated quickly. what do you think are the most promising clinical trial currently and the most effective treatments. Do you have any advice on how she can best manage out of control blood sugars that have developed? Any other tips for managing this disease?

Hey there @sandytoes27! I'm sorry I didn't get to your question during the broadcast, but I've sent it to the experts and I'll get back to you soon.

Here is Dr. Raimondo's response:
The treatment has to be individualized by her oncologist (cancer staging and histopathology with markers expression) and endocrinologist (diabetes). We always make sure the patient received pancreatic enzyme supplements with meals while undergoing chemotherapy and/or after surgery.
