I'm stage 4 currently on gem/Abraxine. Is Folfirnox better?

Hi @linny334, unfortunately, our experts cannot provide specific treatment advice through this type of correspondence. Everyone reacts differently to different medication. Maybe other Connect members who have been through this could chime in and let you know if they took either one of those, and if so, how they did with it. @JustinMcClanahan may know of some folks to tag here.

My partner was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastasis to bile duct at age 51. She was also diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 10 years ago. in one month's time, she seems to have deteriorated quickly. what do you think are the most promising clinical trial currently and the most effective treatments. Do you have any advice on how she can best manage out of control blood sugars that have developed? Any other tips for managing this disease?

I'll send your question to the experts. As Dr. Raimondo mentioned in the video, Vitamin D has shown to be very protective against pancreatic cancer.

Here is Dr. Raimondo's response:
The treatment has to be individualized by her oncologist (cancer staging and histopathology with markers expression) and endocrinologist (diabetes). We always make sure the patient received pancreatic enzyme supplements with meals while undergoing chemotherapy and/or after surgery.

According to Dr. Raimondo, there is no evidence that turmeric works, but it does not hurt either.
