2 Reactions@rosemarya I got my flu shot two weeks ago. They say it can take a couple of weeks to take effect so I wanted to get it in advance of our upcoming vacation that starts on the 10th. I will probably wear a mask 😷 on the flights too. I don’t like wearing one but it’s better than getting sick. Getting legionnaires last December really made me conscious of my vulnerability.

4 Reactions@gingerw my two year visit is actually in December even though my transplant was in September. They scheduled it a year from my last visit.
I can’t believe it’s been two years since life began again.

2 ReactionsI took masks on our trip, but we never felt the need to wear them, thankfully! We were outside a lot of the time and it wasn't crowded there.

3 ReactionsI had to get my monthly B12 injection the end of August, I asked if I could get the flu shot. They had just gotten it in the day before, but the "Old Age" injection/mixture did not come in. I had to wait until September 26th before I got my next B12 to get my flu shot. I do not know how long I have gotten my flu shots, haven't had the flu - bad cold, but no flu.

3 ReactionsI forgot to add that I had my transplant 10 years ago and I am sure I started getting my flu shots while I was on dialysis.

1 ReactionIt seems odd to me that the doctors around here don’t have the high dose flu shot so I had to go to Walgreens to get it! I suppose if you go to a geriatric doctor they must have the high dose shot but I go to a regular internist. That brings up something I have wondered about - why do people change to geriatric doctors? My PCP seems perfectly happy having me as a patient, I don’t think he sees a need for me to change. I will ask him about it the next time I see him, which hopefully will not be for a while.
